Lydgate Lodge was awash with neon, big hair and classic tunes as the home threw an 80s-themed Summer Fair for residents, staff and visitors. The morning opened with cracking entertainment from Fascinating Rhythm, who fully committed to the theme, while Sherri and Carol worked their magic in the kitchen to lay on an 80s buffet fit for a king.

There was plenty to keep everyone busy, with stalls from Blissful Bitez cakes, Linda’s P.Louise wares and a selection of home-made crafts, plus beautiful henna from Karen and Samya and proper 80s hairdos courtesy of Tina.

Outside, Nick served up his ginormous 99s and a classic Caterham 7 made a special guest appearance, giving residents the chance to admire it and reminisce about cars of days gone by.
